Practice:PRELIM

Preparation,planning,storyboard

-For our preliminary filming we created a storyboard as an overall template for something we were able to refer back to when filming the final product.

-Our groups idea is quite simple as we were practising and experimenting with the camera while filming our idea, this is so we would have a general idea of how to use different camera shots effectively and will very much contribute to our final thriller opening.

-Our Preliminary idea was a date between a couple who's conversation flows generally, this is so we were able to experiment and focus mainly with over the shoulder shots and close ups of the face.

-Due to the fact that our idea was simple meant we were not having to waste time looking around for props and specific setting as the scene could be created quite easily with the surroundings we have around the college.

Editing of the Prelim

Evaluation of Prelim

For our prelim we thought that one of our strong points were the different angles and camera movements used throughout, we tried to consider different point of views from different angles. however we have learnt that we should not put titles over the faces of the characters as it distracts from the plot. We have also learnt that during the editing process we should make sure the scenes flow, and include more match cuts and dialogue to draw the audience in and make it more intresting. Overall we believe our final prelim opening is average and if added more content to it it could have been better along with the titles added on at different points and not over the characters faces.
